How to Copy RT Clip Art
from the CD to the Hard Drive
- Macintosh -


These instructions are for copying Color PICT files from an RT Collection CD on to your hard drive in Macintosh System 7.1 and newer.

Modify these instructions as necessary for other file formats or to save to a different hard drive.

Use these instructions only if your CD is not marked "Version D":

1. Insert the RT Clip Art CD into the drive.

2. On the Desktop, double click the RT CD icon. The CD window will open.

It will have the RT Collection name at the top of the window.

4. In the CD window, double click the MAC folder.

5. Click and drag the PICT_COL folder on top of your Hard Drive

(at the top right of your screen. The hard drive is usually called "Macintosh HD").

6. A "Copying" progress bar will appear.

7. Once completed, there will be a new PICT_COL folder on your hard drive.

(It contains the entire set of Collection color PICT files)

8. Rename this folder to something more appropriate, such as "Santa Fe, or Wild West"

Double click the Hard Drive (Macintosh HD) icon.
Find and click once on the PICT_COL folder.
Type in the new name.

9. Close all windows.
