Insufficient Memory Error Messages - Macintosh

When attempting to "Extract" a file you see a message something like: "can't extract file "xxxxx" because there is not enough memory"

1. Restart your machine and try again, or

2. Change the amount of memory allocated to the .SEA file

(refer to the steps below for how to change the memory of an application program-
a .SEA file is actually a special type of application program)

Note: If the .SEA file is on a CD, then you must use procedure #1, above.

Application Program Insufficient Memory Message when attempting to add or use RT Clip Art

It may be necessary to allocate additional memory ("not enough memory" message) to your program in order for it to import or use an RT image file correctly. To allocate more memory to your program do this:

1. Save your work (if desired)

2. Quit the program

3. On your hard drive, find and click once on the program icon to highlight it

4. Select Get Info (commandI) from the File Menu. You will see a window similar to one of these:

5. Double click the Preferred Size box, then type in a larger value. Make sure that the additional memory you allocate to your program does not exceed that which is available to your system

6. Close the Get Info window

7. Restart the program and try again.
