How to Add & Use RT Clip Art in a Document/Project
Step-by-Step Procedures

While creating a document, you add an RT clip art image into it by using an appropriate menu sequence. Listed below are the menu sequences needed for many of the more popular programs.

If your program is not listed, or if you have a difficulty using RT images in your program for which our documentation does not address, consult your software's user manual or on-line Help about graphics and importing "third party" graphics. (Newer, and older, program versions generally use menu sequences similar to those listed). You should contact the customer service department of the company that publishes your software for additional assistance.

The program you use may or may not have certain image editing capabilities (such as the ability to rotate, crop, recolor, etc). And, it may have other graphic capabilities, or alternate ways of performing particular functions that we haven't documented. You must choose a program which suits your needs, and fully familiarize yourself with that program's features.

Contact us to let us know if you have a program, or version, that you use and would like us to consider documenting - - particularly if you are an application developer (software publisher) whose product(s) use "third party graphics".

The table below lists many of the popular programs in which RT clip art can be used. Next to each application's name is the menu sequence used to bring an image into a document or project.

Detailed instructions are available for those programs listed below which have links. The documents with a (*) are in PDF format, average from 200-400 Kb in size, and require the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. These PDF documentation pages are set to print horizontally (landscape mode). Make sure to change the Acrobat Reader program PAGE/PRINT SETUP (under the File Menu) to the correct page orientation prior to printing!

Documentation for new programs/versions are added as available.

The following programs CAN NOT be used with RT clip art:

Canon Creative - Ships with some Canon printers. Includes a limited edition (LE) version of the American Greetings CreataCard program which can not import "third party" images. > Upgrade to the full version, or use another program.

Print Artist - In all versions RT has tested, the image import filters either do not work properly, or are limited to very small and simple images (<60k). > Use a different program or check with the publisher to deterrmine if the import issue is resolved.

Your program may or may not have certain image editing capabilities (such as the ability to rotate, crop, recolor, etc). And, it may have other graphic capabilities, or alternate ways of performing a particular function that we haven't documented. You are responsible to choose a program which suits your needs, and to fully familiarize yourself with that program's features.
