

If the RT clip art files are stored on a different drive, or in a different folder than we specify here, modify these instructions as necessary.
1. Create a new document or open an existing document.
2. From the File menu select Import.
3. At the Import Files dialog, switch drives to your CD ROM.
- Double click the Windows directory on the CD.
- Double click the directory containing the file format you wish to use.
- Double click the subdirectory containing the file category you wish to use.
4. Set List Files of Type to WMF Microsoft Windows Metafile.
5. Highlight the file you want to retrieve (i.e., 01toad.wmf). Notice you can click on Preview to view the file. Click OK.
If the file is not showing check:
- Are you in the correct folder/directory?
- Is List Files of Type set to WMF Microsoft Windows Metafile?
6. The cursor changes to the Add Object cursor which looks like a box. Move the cursor to where you want the upper left corner of the image to appear and click your mouse button.
Scaling Objects
Select the image you want to scale. Handles will appear around the image.Click on one of the handles and drag to scale the box. By clicking on a corner handle you scale the image proportionally. If you click on a middle handle and drag the mouse you will distort the image ... changing the original proportions.
Recoloring Objects
Select the image/piece you want to recolor.Select a color from the paint palette.
Rotating Objects
Select the image you want to rotate.Click on the rotate tool in the Toolbox. The cursor changes to the rotate tool.
Point and click the rotate tool on any of the eight handles around the object. A bounding box appears around the object.
Keep the mouse button held down and drag the mouse. The bounding box rotates.
Flipping Objects
Select the image you want to flip.From the Arrange menu select Flip Horizontally or Flip Vertically.
1. Insert border image files as you would any other RT Clip Art file.
2. Scale the border to the desired size. See Scaling Objects above.
3. Using the text tool in the tools palette type your text in the dialog box and press Add. Position the cursor where you want the text to rest inside the border and click with your mouse.
