

The RT clip art files are stored on a different drive, or in a different folder than we specify here, modify these instructions as necessary.
1. Create a new document or open an existing document.
2. From the Insert menu select Picture.
3. At the Insert dialog set List Files of Type: to Graphic Files.
4. Switch drives to your CD ROM.
- Double click the Mac folder on the CD.
- Double click the subfolder containing the file format you wish to use.
- Double click the subfolder containing the file category you wish to use.
5. Highlight the file you want to retrieve (i.e., 01toad.eps). Click Insert.
6. After converting, the image will show in your document.
Scaling Objects
Select the image by clicking on it with your cursor.
While holding the SHIFT key grab a corner handle and drag to the desired size. Note, you must press the SHIFT key before clicking on the corner handle. Dragging from a middle handle will distort the image.
Cropping Objects
Select the image by clicking on it with your cursor.
Grab a handle and drag to crop the image - DO NOT hold the SHIFT key. If you drag away from the image you will increase the amount of surrounding white space.
Advanced Editing Features
Double clicking the image takes you to the Edit Picture box where you can use the tool palette to recolor, flip and scale images.
NOTE: SOME OF THE EDITING FUNCTIONS IN THE EDIT PICTURE BOX WILL CONVERT AN EPS IMAGE TO A BITMAPPED GRAPHIC. BITMAPPED GRAPHICS WILL NOT PRINT AS CLEAN AND CRISP AS THE ORIGINAL EPS FILE.
1. Insert border image files as you would any other RT Clip Art file.
2. Scale the border to the desired size. See Scaling Objects above.
3. Double click on the border to go to the Edit Picture box. Using the text tool in the tool palette, draw a text block within the border by clicking to create the upper left corner of the text block and dragging to where the lower right corner will be. Type your text in this block. Limited text options are available when in the Edit Picture box.
4. Close the Edit Picture box to return the border-with-text to your document. To edit the text within your border you must go back into the Edit Picture box.
