

If the RT clip art files are stored on a different drive, or in a different folder than we specify here, modify these instructions as necessary.
1. Create a new Word Processor document.
- Set File Format: to All Available
- NOTE: Images can not be brought into Spreadsheets, Databases or Communications documents.
2. From the File menu, choose Open.
3. Switch drives to your CD-ROM.
- Double click the Mac folder on the CD.
- Double click the folder containing the file format you want (ex.- PICT_COL)
- Double click the category you want (ex.- ANIMALS)
4. Highlight the file you want to retrieve (ex.- 01BIRD.PCT). Click Open.
You may get a message: "You do not have access priveleges to make changes to "filename.xxx". Do you want to open a ready-only copy?". Click OK.
If the file is not showing check:
- Are you in the correct folder?
5. The image will be opened in a Microsoft Draw document.
6. The image can be copied and pasted into a word processing document.
- Click on the image. Handles will appear (little boxes at the corners and sides).
- Go the the Edit menu and select Copy.
- Close the draw document.
- Back at the Word Processing document, go to the Edit menu. Select Paste.
- Note: The image can be moved on the page and scaled (see below).
7. Go to the Window menu, select Draw Off. Now you can add text to your document. Text will wrap around the image. (See below Using Borders within a Document).
Scaling Objects
Go to the Windows menu. Select Draw On. Select the object you want to scale. Handles will appear around the image. Click on one of the handles and drag to scale the box. Hold down the <Shift> key to scale the image proportionally. When the image is sized correctly, go to the Window menu and select Draw Off.Cropping Objects
Go to the Windows menu. Select Draw On. Click on the image you want to crop (usually a border from which to make a vertical or horizontal strip). From the Arrange menu select Crop. Drag a handle to crop the image, then click inside the box to complete the process. Go to the Windows menu. Select Draw Off.
1. Insert border image files as you would any other RT Clip Art file.
2. Scale the border to the desired size. See Scaling Objects above.
3. Use the text tool from the tool palette to create a text box. Type your text inside the border.
