Follow the instructions below to install RT Fonts on your Windows XP machine AND your CD DOES NOT say VERSION D on it.
If your CD says VERSION D on it, click here.
If you have just installed (copy/pasted) RT Clip Art images, skip down to INSTALLING FONT(S) below.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Save/Exit/Close all programs and files. You are at the Windows XP Desktop
GETTING STARTED
1. Insert the RT Collection CD in the drive.
The machine will try to "Autoplay" the CD. Ignore this.
A message window will appear in the center of the screen and will read:
"Windows can perform the same action each tiime you insert a disk...
What do you want Windows to do?"
2. Click CANCEL
INSTALLING FONT(S)
1. CLICK the START button
2. CLICK CONTROL PANEL
3. DOUBLE CLICK the FONTS folder
4. Go to the FILE MENU and select INSTALL NEW FONT
5. At the ADD FONTS window, change the DRIVE to the CD (usually D:).
6. On the bottom left, DOUBLE CLICK the WINDOWS folder
7. DOUBLE CLICK the FONTS folder
At the top of the window, one or more fonts are listed.
8. INSTALL ONLY TRUETYPE FONTS. DO NOT INSTALL TYPE 1 FONTS.
Fonts will be installed one-at-a-time.
9. DOUBLE CLICK each TrueType font to install it.
Each time you double click a font, it will be installed, then you will be returned to the (large) Fonts window.
10. Repeat steps #4 - 9 for each TrueType font.
11. Once all the TrueType (and ONLY the TrueType) fonts are installed close all windows.
You are back at the desktop and the RT Font(s) are ready to be used just like any other font in any of your programs.
