How to Install RT Clip Art Images
In Windows XP

If your CD says VERSION D on it

 

Follow the instructions below to install RT Clip Art Images (color or black & white images) on your Windows XP machine AND your CD says VERSION D on it.

If your CD DOES NOT say VERSION D on it, click here.


BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Save/Exit/Close all programs and files. You are at the Windows XP Desktop


GETTING STARTED

1. Insert the RT Collection CD in the drive.

The machine will try to "Autoplay" the CD. Ignore this.

A message window will appear in the center of the screen and will read:

"Windows can perform the same action each tiime you insert a disk...

What do you want Windows to do?"

2. Click CANCEL


INSTALLING THE CLIP ART

1. CLICK the START button

2. CLICK MY COMPUTER

3. Under "Devices with Removable Storage", DOUBLE CLICK the CD ROM drive (usually D:)

4. DOUBLE CLICK the INSTALL.WIN folder

5. Depending on which RT Collection you have, double click the file named:

SF1.COL
SF2.COL
PLC.COL
TPC.COL
or WWC.COL

to install a color set of images.

Or, double click the file named:

SF1.BW
SF2.BW
PLC.BW
TPC.BW
or WWC.BW

to install a black & white set of images

6. In the center of the screen, a window will appear which reads: "THIS FILE WAS CREATED BY PROZIP"

Delete (highlight & backspace) any text that is in the Extract-to-Path box.

7. Type C:\ in the Extract-to-Path box.

8. Click the Extract button at the bottom left of the window.

9. Close all windows, you are back at the desktop.

Repeat steps #1-9 to install a different set of images (i.e., black & white)

10. Begin using the images in your documents and projects.
